Hey everyone! I just wanted to take a picture of my baby pandas, WRs, and KKs that have just been appearing like crazy. I'm a little confused though here.

My first baby pandas were from a hybrid shrimp, more than half were TBs and the rest were CRS/CBS. A baby panda will be white and blue, as these were. That blue will slowly get covered with black as they grow and molt. However, I recently had another shrimp deberry (lol?), a berried blue bolt, which are probably about a day or two old because they're suuuuper tiny. All of these pandas are ALL blue and blackish, not blue and white like a normal panda. Could it be a blue panda??

^^Here's a blue(?) panda next to what I'm pretty certain is a red panda (WR).

And here's a picture of the place I went hiking/running today:

What a pretty scene! I wouldn't go back there though, a friend of mine recommended it to me and it was only like 2 miles one way. I run ~6 if I can help it. It was a nice place though.

To be perfectly honest, there's a big difference between these and regular baby pandas- I can compare them firsthand, lol. And I know they came from my blue bolt. So I'm not sure what they are. I'll try my best to keep them alive, but right now I'm doing a lot of trial and error so... these guys are test dummies. Hoping they like my water, I've been working pretty darn hard on it.

Thanks for looking!

They look like the blue candy canes. Pretty cool. Imagine if that blue also turned black after they molted. You would have some BKKs there :)

my Blue Bolt babies can't survive for 10days, and the male eat it alive!!!!! at day 8
now 2nd batch possible hatch this week..
good luck Senior Shrimpo..
Why don't you take out the males after the female berries? My TT tank has only females and babies and 3 hand selected males. That's helped with my baby survival. Less competition from the adults.

Congrats on your babies! I love pandas. would you mind sharing your water perameters with us? I've heard TB have low baby survial rates. My Bees have not breed yet but I'd like to have the water perameters figured out before I come across that problem.

I haven't measured the parameters except for TDS lately, which is kinda high. But you know the drill, standard ~150, that's not even that big of a deal. I did check to see what my kH was though- 0.

How old are your TBs/how long have you had em? Mine took about 2 months after I got them to start breeding, and they were pretty bad at carrying eggs for a while after that

Thanks for the info.. will do this time.
what food do you feed the babies?
Lol I have enough moss/leaves/driftwood/aquasoil/algae in there I'm not concerned about them finding enough food to eat. But I'm feeding bioplus every other day, and I try to sprinkle it near where the babies are, occasionally I bop one of them in the head... at least I know they aren't going hungry lol.

When I feed every other day with CRS food or Excel, I always see a few babies on that too, so they're getting some high quality food too.

I go on SaiSai at least once a week lol. I can't get away it's an awesome website.

I've always thought that Tb layering goes: under blue (when they're born) and white, then black, then blue again (if a shadow bee). I don't know what an under layer of full blue and blackish when first born means, if anything. But I can hope.
