Hi everyone, I am a new member here and thought I would make my first post to share my latest news. Within the past fortnight I have been lucky enough to find a pair of Kribensis mating in my tank and now have roughly 50 Krib fry swimming around the tank with their parents. I have read a lot around the breeding process of this species however wanted to see if anyone else had had experience with these breeding and if so at what point should I seperate the fry from the parents?:fish:

I just looked at your pics. The fry are so cute and it looks like they are enjoying a dinner buffet on the moss.

hey Aqua,

I bred this species (unintentionally at first) way back about 15yrs ago....I can't remember exactly how long the parents look after the fry but you'll start to notice that eventually the parents start to be less and less attentive to their fry (I think at about 2 wks tops) and at that time you can definitely go ahead and remove them. I do remember feeding them fresh hatched brine shrimp and they ate them up like crazy....the brine shrimp eggs you can buy dry in a package.

Thanks for your advice! I was in a similar situation when I bought the Kribs, I was attracted to their fantastic colours, little did I realise I would have 50 fry a few weeks later! They have got to one of the most interesting fish I have ever owned!
