Attempt at iwagumi with a 10g and 2.5 gallon

First attempt with the 10 gallon


Second attempt after someone said it looked too composed with everything leaning to the left and that the larger stone would look better on the left.


Third attempt after I changed out a few stones just to play around with it a little



Tore down my old 2.5 gallon that had a sand substrate and a few left over plants and set this up last night.




Anyone have any advice for either of them?
I think I want to try a HC carpet or maybe hydrocotyle japan carpet. Still not sure what I want for background plants though.
