Hello,

How would you go about attaching Staurogyne repens to lava rock?

I have seen videos and pictures with them attached. Does anyone have any pointers?

Thanks!

You can just attach it, the more stem the better as it'll be easier to tie. The stem will turn towards the light and will sprout new shoots on the horizontal stem.
If you can, I'd recommend a emersed growth for them to root, that way any size stem will work well without the need to tie sometimes.
But for either one, make sure you trim the old roots prior to the placement.
Never thought of doing that with this plant. Interesting.

So to clarify I could just put the stem in one of the holes on the lava rock? If I tie it what should I use? How long before it roots in and I can remove the tie?

Simple as that, you can use fishing line or cotton string.
But as to how long, that I can't tell you, depending on how well the plants are doing will be how quick it will root.
