i guess u can say this is a dumb question...

would they be okay with cherry shrimp?....i have a tons of mts and would like just 1 to control them (if i can find someone willing to ship it cheap for me).

I know they suck the MTS out of the shell....so what happen to the shell after that? would u have to take out the shell or what?

Thanks

99% of the time it'll be fine with shrimp. Sometimes the assassins will eat shrimp, but that's very rare.

Also, you can leave the shells of the MTS in. The calcium carbonate will break down over time.

Thanks...i have always wonder what happen to the shell afterword..lol
Small shells break down pretty quick, bigger ones last a while. You might need more than one, depending on how many you have. They typically will eat about one a day.

i just need one...don't want the assissani to breed
They don't breed as fast as other snails and grow up slower. And there is no problem finding homes for any young ones.
What size tank do you have? How big is the snail population?
