Are most members here members of Aquatic Plant Central too?

Just curious, I am a member of both and often see the same or similar posts on each :)

I am too, but TPT loads allot faster for me and most of the members I know are local.
Me too. But as i say again. There is something special about this forum that don't Usualy happen AT APC..

But this is my home. I just cruise around APC.
I am a member at APC and I agree with both the previous posters. TPT loads much faster, more local people here, and it just feels friendlier and more home like here.
I am am member of both and spend more time at APC. I found APC first. SCAPE started there, emersed culture is a section, and it has a more international crowd. It also has a section for aquascaping. Neither one (IMO) could replace the other, I spend significant time at both. I don't post as much on PT but I read both sites often.

I think both sites are great and I spend time on both. Their are a lot of members in common but there are a lot of different members and content. The threads that are commonly posted on both are pictures of aquariums and for sale posts.
Except for a few times that I've followed a link posted here, I've never even been to APC. I found TPT first, have enjoyed it, and wouldn't want to invest the time in another forum. The only drawback that I've been told of is that most Pittsburghers in the hobby go there.

PS, This should probably be moved to the Lounge.
I read around that site once in a while but I am not a member.
One of my other favorite forums is Aquaticcommunity.com it has great people and some really smart members.
If I have more plant specific questions I come here.
I post to the Crypt section there. TPT and the GWAPA forum are home.

Who is also part of a local club forum, the AGA forum, or PlantGeeks forum?
PS, This should probably be moved to the Lounge.
Doh. Looks like it was moved :)
I am also a member on APC but i spent the majority of time over here. The design looks much nicer, friendlier ppl in my opinion, and has a lot more pics lol.

I'm a member of a few reef forums, I read the AGA forums from time to time, and I'm on PlantGeek, but don't go there too often.
I'm a member of APC too, but I find myself on this forum more, even though I spend my fair share on APC too.

You are correct. The local plant club in Pittsburgh, PAPAS, originated on APC and one of the members of the club is a Mod on APC, too.
I'm a member both here and APC, but I'd say I'm here about 80-90% of the time. I can't explain why. Maybe it's the UI/color, maybe it's the fact that I get questions answered faster here. Both are great sites, but I've definitely spent more time at TPT. I'll agree with the others that posted that it feels more like "home" here.
I do like the "aquascaping" forum on APC.../wink /wink /nudge /nudge
There also seems to be a better representation of plant species on APC also...if I'm looking up a particular plant, I'll usually look there first.
I spend more of my time at APC. It's more organized IMHO, and I really like the aquascaping sub-forum, where a lot of international hobbyists post. Also, there aren't daily flame wars over there lol
I am not a member there but I read there a lot. Honestly I wish the two sites could merge.

what he said..........
