I recently purchased a 4x54watt Odyssea fixture, I got it for an amazing price on Ebay...it was honestly too good to pass up being $80 shipped for a new fixture. It was for a marine setup which is oK as I had planned to ditch its bulbs anyway. I am looking at some of the "higher end" bulbs as replacements. The fixture is for my 100G which has pressurized injection and receives regular dosing.

As of right now I am looking at a combination of Giesemann Midday Sun and Aqua Flora. I have also eyeballed some UV bulbs and thought of tossing in a UV AquaSun to replace one of the other bulbs. I am looking for a good combination of plant growth and appearance. I am currently using 4x65watt PCs with Catalina 7200K bulbs.

The Aqua Sun is a pink bulb. Geisemann bulbs are excellent bulbs. You can get about the same spectrum with GE 6500K bulbs for far less than the Geisemann with a greater PAR output. The GE have the same quality as the Geisemann as do the UVL which is quite a bit cheaper than a Geisemann also.

I have found the Giesemann for around $20 each. But if the GEs are comparable and have more PAR for less I may just look into those.

Thanks all!

Giessmans aren't really worth it to me....My hagen bulbs were 10 bucks a pop and perform just as well.
