I got a purple Cobomba in a recent shipment and it seems really fragile. During planting it seemed to shed a bunch of its fronds and I grazed it during some light cleaning it did the same thing. Is this normal for this type of plant?

They will tend to shed the needles if proper conditions are not met. Your "purple" cabomba is cabomba furcata. This is the toughest type of cabomba to keep. Adequate lighting, CO2, and ferts are a must. I would give it some time since it just got done shipping.

I acquired this plant in California while on vacation and took a whole bunch with me on the flight back to Oregon. They transferred quite readily at that time, but there was obviously no intense shacking as could be the case with shipping.
