archaea c02 regulator with paintball adaptor

Please help before I freeze my hand off...

I have a archaea c02 regulator with the recommended paintball adaptor and when I try to screw the adaptor onto the tank CO2 shoots out the little hole on the bottom...

Any ideas what the heck I'm doing wrong here?

the hole I'm talking about is in the adaptor picture on the bottom side of the adaptor.
Can we see a photo of your cylinder valve? makes sure the oring is intact.
this is what I have. Only o ring i see is on the bottom of the regulator.

This is the regulator.

don't see any O Rings on the cylinder
He means the cylinder valve on the Co2 tank: The white ring at the top above the threads, in the below photo is the O-ring

Is the O-ring on that still good?

Hmm, the cylinder looks good, all the pieces look to be in order. Have you tried threading the adapter as tight as you can to the regulator first, then thread the entire system to the cylinder as one?
actually there is an O Ring on the bottom lip of the tank there
Sneaky, adding new photos, ahaha. Looks like you have an O-ring on it.
no matter what I do c02 comes out the hole in the adaptor
hmmm.... have you tried googling the problem? maybe others have experienced this as well.
yeah... that was my first step before looking like a moron on the forum I just joined :)

my o ring doesn't look like that one though...it looks creased like a thread.

Oh well back to the store tomorrow...
Yeah just try replacing the O-ring, should be cheap & see if the problem persists.
New O ring and all is good.

Thanks all for your help
