Aquatic Life lights T5 vs LED

Hey guys,

So i have an Aquatic Life 30" T5 HO fixture now for my 20G Long.

I find that the 24" bulbs dont cover the footprint well enough as my dwarf baby tears are great in the middle of the tank but lacking on the sides.
Also feel that they are too powerful as i have some hair algae growing on them and i have found the butter spot for my light cycle, so my plants still grow but with the least amount of hair algae growth.

I am looking at the Aquatic Life 0.5W Led Fixtures.
They are nice and small and if i get two i can position them where i want in my tank.
Also they are full length so i get good coverage on the sides.

My only concerns are if they are powerful enough?
My tank is only 12" deep so im sure they would be fine.

Any input with this?
Should i get two for sure, or just start with one?

Thanks

(personal opinion) Neither , get a fixture w/ the "correct" red.....
W/ a shallow tank I'd go more w/ this:
