I’m expanding my riccia tank by adding a new 15 gallon tank. Since my Aquatek CO2 regulator (http://www.amazon.com/AQUATEK-Regul...LM7G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1327265864&sr=8-1) from more than 4 yrs ago is still running strong, I decided to get another one for the new tank. (I checked out other regulators and still decided to go with the Aquatek because I really like the cool touch solenoid for safety reasons. Compare to other brands I’ve used in the past where the solenoid really heats up after a few hours, the Aquatek ones stay at room temperature and never heats up. Maybe this is the reason why my Aquatek regulator has lasted forever without any issues.) Not to mention, the price on these regulators can’t be beat.

So, the new regulator arrived yesterday. Just as I remembered from my prior purchase, the item arrived in perfect condition and FAST. Opened the box and I find a heavy-duty regulator made of brass body and even included a check-valve for easy and quick set-up. It took me about 25 min to set the whole thing up, the tricky part was to get the bubble count low and steady for my small 15 gallon tank. The goal is to get 1 bubble per second and the needle valve handled it perfectly. Checked on it this morning and bubbles still flowing steady, no adjustment needed. Awesome!

One thing I’m looking into is possibly replace my 10 lb. CO2 cylinder with a smaller paintball CO2 tank to fit in the small corner space I have for my new 15 gallon tank. I see that Aquatek now offers a CGA 320 connector (http://www.amazon.com/AQUATEK-CO2-P...9QDC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1327265864&sr=8-3) designed to fit paintball cylinders to its regulators on Amazon. Has anyone used it before? How do you like it?

Sure sounds like a shill.

The adapter works as described. Pretty straight forward.

I'm glad that you are as happy with the new one as your were with the old one. Both of your posts (and the others that I could find) are very informative and you seem to really now your Aquatek equipment well. Please keep us informed the next time you purchase an Aquatek product. We are eager to here about your positive experiences with these product (that you are obviously not affiliated with):
