Hi everyone,
Just purchased this test kit and the instructions were not inside! Anyone know where I can find the instructions for these two things? I checked on the website and cant seem to find much. Was looking for a PDF file but no luck.
Thanks for the help!

For KH: Take 5 mls of tank water and add one drop of reagent in. Shake and it will turn blue. Keep putting in one drop of reagent and shaking, keeping count of how many drops of reagent you do. It will keep getting darker blue. Stop when you finally get a change from blue to yellow. That is your dKH. (number of drops of reagent to affect this change).

For the GH take 5 mls of tank water and then put in one drop of reagent and shake. It starts out very pale yellow - almost opaque. Repeat and keep counting. When it finally changes to a pale green, that is you dGH.
Hope this helps.

Because I use DI water, and no matter how many drops I put in, the test never measures. If it were accurate, it would mean my GH and KH are OFF THE CHART!

Are you not adding any mg or ca to the water?

If it turns to yellow after the first drop it means you have anywhere from 0-1 dKH.

I rarely use my test kit. When you use mostly distilled water, you just assume your KH is low, usually 0-1. When I use city water, I know it's high, around 15.
