I got 2 of these lace plants. I read somewhere said that they like cold temp. water like ~70. Is that true? When I got them, they have huge and tall lace leaves. Some of them had die off but I saw a couple of new leaves shooting out from the bulb. Anyone with experience growing this plant, tips are welcome.

thanks,

I have them growing in a 55 that's at 82 degrees. I've only had them about four weeks but they are putting up new large leaves and look healthy.

Not to say they wouldn't grow better in lower temps, just that warm water won't kill them.

The ones i've seen come in at work typically drop most if not all of their large leaves when they get introduced to our tanks. They do seem to bounce back fast though.

I heard that they need a resting period but i'm not sure how to do that or i'd give them a shot, they've always been one of my favorite plants.

This is one of those times when the search feature is very useful, we've talked about lace plants a lot here.
