I was wondering if someone could give me an idea on the grow out period for these guys. A local fish club member set me up with a few of these, about 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch (largest one being VERY VERY male) but in 3 weeks I don't see much growth, maybe 1/4 inch. I do everything I can to make sure food gets to them (they like the sinking pellets a lot, but so do the corys), the angels don't let much flakes get to the bottom.

pH stays right around 7, nitrates less than 10, temp stays at 82.

Thanks in advance.

in my experience (bolivian rams and angelfish) you will get the most growth out of high protein and this usually comes from live or frozen food. What has seemed to work the best for me are blood worms. My guys go freaking berzerk for the blood worms. Almost so bad now that i try to feed anything but worms or flakes and they dont touch it.. guess ill stick with what they like :)
I feed frozen blood worm and about 5 different kinds of flake, 2 different pellets, and spirulina wafers. They also get the occasional treat of mysis shrimp if I accidentally thaw too much for my reef tank.

It's more "how long should they take to grow out"
