Couldn't believe it. Looked in my 90 gallon and saw three 2 or 3 week old fry swimming around the bottom with mom hanging around nearby! She looked diligent guarding them. Wow, my first Apisto fry! There are probably even more. I'll keep ya posted...:proud:

I'm not going to try to catch them. Too many plants.

LOL. The single biggest drawback of planted tanks.

Congrats! Pics?
Yeah, I now have a count of six of the fry, maybe one or two more...They have spread themselves all over the tank picking this or that spot under a low plant like downoi or a crypt. I'll try to get a pic, but my macro lens is at work. They are pretty small. This is pretty dang cool! :bounce:

Congrats and such

Apisto's are cool to breed, been doin that for years now and I LOVE em!

You could use a narrow 1/4" ID clear tube to suck em SLOWLY to a bucket then trans to a small gall container for daily feeding if you had to.

Congrats!:icon_bigg

I love cockatoo cichlids. I had a threesome that bred regularly. The most amazing part was how mellow the male was.
