Have the same problem... I did try taking out all the floaters, letting the tank go without for a week or so, then introduced new, clean floaters. By the time the floaters spread a bit, they were infested with aphids again... so if you try that, gotta be thorough and get them off any sides of the tank, HOB, or whatever else they might hide on.

I've tried a few things to kill aphids on my floaters. Diatomaceous earth worked if it didn't get wet and clump up. However, discarding any infested floaters then submerging the ones without any visible signs of aphids for a few days worked even better. Since floaters grow at an exponential rate, you only need one or two healthy plants to start all over.
