Anyone with a Seapora 5.5 gallon?

I was wondering if the dimensions are truly 16x8x10. Not sure if this measurement excluded the black trim. Thanks.

Measurements are the same as other standard 5.5-gallon tanks. You can use glass/hinged lids that fit other 5.5s.

What, specifically, are you trying to make sure will fit?

I have a 10 inch high tank in a small space under another tank and wanted to switch it to a 5.5 gallon. I'm looking for one 10 inches high since 10.5 inches leaves less room to work in the tank. Do you own one of the seapora's?

Yep, own several. The black silicone work of Deep Blue Professional/now Seapora is super-nice. The dimensions are the same as other 5.5gal tanks and is for the glass portion of the tank, excluding trim.

If it were me, I'd buy one because they're pretty cheap. If it doesn't fit, consider something rimless. Keep the 5.5 for another setup, backup, grow-out or quarantine.

Do you have a photo of the area where the tank will sit? Maybe it's possible to put a piece of thin plywood or polycarbonate under the tank so you could slide it out a bit during water changes. Not ideal but probably not too big of a deal, as you have several years of experience under your belt.
