In the last couple of months I've been seeing both DIY and retail equipment popping up for surface film removal. I really enjoy the low light of two T5's over my tank but a 24 inch depth and surface film lower light levels even more. I've tried surface agitation with a 30 inch spray bar with no luck and more light deflection.
My plan would be to replace my canister inflow tube with a CPR CS overflow box and aqua lifter pump. Has anyone ever used an overflow box on a canister filter?
