I'm thinking of getting it as a backup/quarantine/plant tank. It is acrylic 7.5 X 7.5 X 13 and comes with tank filter, filter cartridges, air pump, tubing, low voltage power converter AND a Jack Sparrow figure :icon_wink.

Obviously I'd get rid of Jack, those plants, and maybe even the gravel. What do you guys think? I might go take a look at Petco after work today.

It would work. Ive seen someone use this or something like this tank before. Obdviously any fish you put in there would need to be very small. Even if its for quarentine.

That's a nice looking little tank, minus the plastic plants and Jack Sparrow decoration. I'd put those on a kid's birthday cake or something. :icon_wink

Also, this probably won't be a big deal if this a quarantine tank, but those LEDs don't have enough light penetration to grow much of anything plantwise: you'll be relying on ambient light for any plants you might decide to put in.

I seen this at Petsmart and was thinking about it. It even comes with a boat(Nt Jack over here). It would definitely work!

It's actually a nice tank, with a drawer underneath for storing things, and 2 attachments that go over the light to change the light color to blue or red. The one I got had a badly scratched up side so I returned it. Like someone mentioned above, I'd also worry about using it as a quarantine tank because of its size. I was unaware that the light wouldn't be strong enough to grow anything, but it's good to know.

Oh, and the tank only comes with Jack Sparrow. There is no gravel and no plants =)
