Just curious if anyone on here runs any magenta or red Horticulture lights over their tank. My buddy ran an experiment running one over his for about an hour at the beginning and end of his light cycle. Has made his plants grow like mad and color up amazingly. Been thinking about doing the same.

Could you tell us what kind of light your frirnd was using? It might be something worth trying.

blue plus red LEDs will bring up magenta which gives more PAR

I'm not exactly sure but I think he has the Gianor 150W MINI UFO Led Grow Lights with UV/IR Lamp(link). I have a Kessil a160we as my main light and may add the Kessil Magenta. It would be easy to make a bracket to put em on the same gooseneck.

I ran 24 e27 led grow lights I got from China in bulk,it worked great, minus the spot light effect.
Great growth, full pearling.
Added one cool white led strip and it about completely masked the pink color.
Bulbs were cheap, and some burnt out rather quickly.
