I will have to run some water tests later to see the parameters.. but I just noticed this this am when I turned on the lights.

there is one other leaf on the plant with a couple of small holes on it. There is also new growth and roots now extending down to the sub.

I can try to get a pic later if it will help

Sure, more pics always help. If it is just one or two odd leaves then it might not be a sign of anything. The bad leaves could just be old and dying.

If many leaves start to decay and look bad then we are likely in deficiency territory.

Ahh yes I see, I don't think it looks particularly deficient at this time.

Just watch out with that plant though, it likes its potassium and tends to develop lots of pinholes if it becomes deficient. The holes and damage on your leaf look too large/random for potassium deficiency.
