Thinking about whether or not I want to combine two EHEIM 2213s together for better biological filtration.

I heard you leave only one on so it powers both media containers.

Is there any concern about motor straining? Also, which one do you plug in? The first one or the second one?

Last one in line should be powered. You can also get prefilter which is basically canister filters without motor.

Or get a magnum canister with top. Get just the parts. I know the motor used to be an external removable part. An old used one would work great.
