I saw some cute little red scarlet indian badis in the store today and was thinking of picking up 3 to add to the my 12G edge.

The tank is currently stocked with 8-10 CPD's and 12 Exclamation rasboras.. (I could move some out if need me... lots of fish but all super tiny).

From what i have read they are faily peaceful but the males can be aggressive. It looks like all males (all bright red in the store).

I also read they can be picky eaters? How has your experience been with them?

Do you mean Dario dario/Scarlet Badis?

If so, they're very territorial and while many can be peaceful in a community setting, many need a species-only tank. You'll want to read up here on the forum, on Rachel/msjinkzd's site and on Seriously Fish for more details on that front.

Some will accept frozen and dry food, most accept only live food.

I kept 2 in a 6gal fluvial edge with 5 CPDs and they did fine. They ignored the other fish...the most aggression I saw between them was "dancing" with each other for territory.

Great little fish. Mine accepted both frozen and pellets, but spent most of their time snacking on cherry shrimp fry.
