Anyone find Dragonfly Nymps in their tanks?

I found what appeared to be a Dragnfly nymph in a shrimp tank today when I removed and old IAL, I guess it was eating the leaf or hiding under it. Only had a few juvie shimp in the tank and at least half are still there with a quick count, but there are a lot of hiding places so I don't know if the nymph was eating them or not. It looked like a small dragonfly with no wings.

Did a pretty colse inspection of the tank and another that has no fish and an open top and did not find anymore.

These tanks are in my shop and the doors are open during the day and of course open tanks make it possible for the adults to get to the tanks.

Yeah, they're vicious little critters, i get them in my outdoor ponds if I forget to put the screens back on.

They eat shrinp, or fish, or whatever they can get ahold of
Will the adults only lay eggs, assuming they dop eggs in the water, if they can make direct contact with the water? Or will they drop them through wire mesh? If anyone even knows!!!
After some research it seems I had a Damselfly Nymph. It may have come in as an egg or very small on some moss or a plant as that seems to be common.

Now I am trying to search and make sure there are not more!!

Not to easy on black substrate and Java Moss!!

i had one of those in my shrimp tank once. i only ever had the one.

a friend of mine used them to eat a large mosquito population in his pond.
I'm sure they would do a number on the mosqito larvae!! I appear to have no more than 2 shrimp missing if any, I hope I don't get any more!!

I have a fire red tank next to that one with little ones hatching every few days, they would have a field day in there!!
I had damselfly nymphs in my tank once, unfortunately I also had alot of moss in the tank too and when my shrimp started disappearing I just assumed they were just hiding in the tank until I saw a damselfly nymph.
That really stinks, I am going to really watch for them now!!
I've lost both shrimp and fish in a tank of mine and I saw something that looks like the pictures I googled of dragonfly nymphs. Anyone have an idea beside breaking down the really heavily planted tank to get the darn thing out?
I found a damselfly nymph in my tank about 2 weeks ago. He has been in a cup of water since, and I've been throwing him the rest of my ghost shrimp hoping that they'll kill and devour each other. He's eaten one already!
I've never had any in my tanks, but I did find one in my canoe on a school canoeing trip a few days ago. My friend was pretty freaked out by it, and me telling him that they're vicious killers didn't help.
Did they manage to stay in the canoe???? That was risky, they could have dumped you along with them!!
I lost most of my shrimp to a damslefly nymph once, I took it and put it in the tank with my Pictus catfish, Never saw a sign of it ever again.

He saw it when we were still near shore. I managed to dump it out using an empty waterbottle.
