Anyone else have Cardinal Tetras that are red on their backs too?

I was just admiring my tank and getting hypnotized by my Cards when I started to look at them I noticed that there was red on the top of their back in front and up to their dorsal fin. These fish are at least 2 years old and a re brilliantly colored but I had never realized that they had color up there.

Anyone else?

mine are not :)
but what you say is cool :)
btw fish are grey from above and silver/wwhite from below with a reason
a predetor from above will spot them not that easy if they are grey (they blend with the water)
and a predetor from below will have to figure a white belly on bright light made by the sun

Hope they are not that kind that cruel guys in LFS paint them.
I did hear that this is a practice. They are injected with color or somtehing.
you seem an experienced aquarist so i suppose this is not that case (that you purchased this kind of fish by accident)

btw . i have a topic regarding the crossbreeding of neons with cardinals. i can use your opinion
