Anyone do an angelfish only tank

I have a 55 currently that is semi heavy with plants. Lots of jungle vals, a few medium size sword plants, and a couple of tiger lily plants. Fish I have currently are 6 3" angels that I have raised from dime size. Along with the angels I have several live bearers that "offer" live food for the angels ... 3 corys.

Because the angels will eventually get big and aggressive enough that a 55 won't be sufficient for all 6 I am thinking about changing up my set up to an angel only tank. I want to see how the angels pair off and get along before I decide who to keep and who to sell. Also was thinking about reducing my plants and freeing up swimming space for the angels I keep.

Any suggestions, thoughts, pictures, or experiences would be appreciated.

My only suggestion is to get a larger tank.

Wish I could. That's my future goal. My current thinking is to keep 2 in my 55 if I get a mating pair or 3 females if I don't.
Freeing up space will make a big difference with them and there aggression, then after they pair up hopefully, like you said you could sell the others it was amazing for me to see how much the paired angels relaxed after the others were removed feeding time was no longer a frenzy.
We stock are tanks with plants and fish then things grow in and the environment really changes
I've got two angels that are getting quite large in a 90G tank... despite all the space and driftwood and plants, one bullies the other. It's not always bad, but when it gets nippy it is sort of stressful. I honestly am starting to think of angels as a lone centerpiece fish given what can happen if you get a pair that fights or breeds. (this was the reason I only got two to begin with)
