I stumbled across this light on ebay a while back, and I'd love to pick one up.
In case link doesn't work, the light is a T5NO 3x8w 12" Boyu fixture, 220/240v.

Any way to do this without breaking the bank? It seems like the perfect fixture for lots of small tanks.

Yeah, that light really isn't all that special, it's just not worth it IMO. Just use one of those 27w desk lamps like deondrec suggested. The same exact lamp is sold under the Lights of America brand at Lowe's.

I have several of the 27w Hampton bay lights. I've used them in the past, and while they work well, The light spread isn't the best, the power is more than I want, and the choice of bulbs is very limited. I'm also not a fan of how they look.

I have a bunch of T5 8w bulbs that have some great color to them, so I'd like to use a T5 fixture.

Stasiu - Thanks, that was exactly what I was looking for. Any idea if there are different styles for different plugs?
