Any experience with Gen-X pumps?

Just wondering if anyone had any experiences with the external pumps(the pcx series). Are they quiet? Do they add any extra heat to tanks?

TIA...

Not very quiet. I have used the PCX 30, PCX 40 and the almighty PVC 55-HD. All with protein skimmers on my reef tank. They also ran a bit warm. BUT, awesome pump and would use them again it need be!!
I guess that's not the pump for me then. I need it to be quiet and not add heat to the tank. Maybe I'll just buck up and get Iwaki. Time and money will just have to tell.

quite? not the one . heat? i think every single pump does ad a lil heat but not noticeable....only (poseidon, velocity) is the quite pump in the market. but its does raise your tank temp up to 3-4 degree, i ran genx-55 before my baby come out to this world, its loud like a MF but i cant tell if it bring any heat then i swicth to Ps4 man so quite sometime cant tell if it still running , but miami heat is coming to the tank , cant touch the pump more than 30sec cause it hot , but that normal ,
IMO if you gonna get iwaki, get japan motor, worth the money , if you get the USA motor then may as well get blueline pump , i hear they most as quite too and powerfull and realiable.

As kali stated only Poseidon/Velocity pumps are dead-silent but they do add heat (not too much of a problem if it's a large aquarium).
My real main concern is the heat. Can't have it adding anything noticable. Noise I can deal with as long as it louder than say a fan or something like that.
Sequence pumps are the best I have ever used. May be too strong than what you are looking for though. But for the price, Sequence is the best for $$/GPH!!!! External pumps may add 1-3 degrees to your tank. But you can cool it down with a chiller or even a fan near the tank blowing across the surface. Downside to the fan is faster evaporation of course. I ran my pumps on saltwater tanks, most of them had chillers. But I tell ya, the heat transfer was not noticable IME!!
The sequence pumps have just way too much flow. I'm actually using just a QO 2200. It doesn't add much, if any, heat and is quiet enough for me. I just needed something with more flow. I'm adding a uv that I will use when needed. The pump will need to have enough flow to go through the uv and a reactor. Maybe I'll just go with a bigger QO pump. I figured if I am going to spend some money, I might as well get a dedicated external pump. Also, already tried some of the mag drives and way too much heat for me.
