Hey guys any idea on the variety of anubias? Also a long time ago when it was a lot smaller all of its leaves where the beautiful dark green like the leaf in the center of the first picture. Now all but the few central leaves are the yellowish colour you can see in the second picture. :icon_cry::icon_cry:

Could it be a mineral deficiency of some kind like magnesium??

Any help would be greatly appreciated as it is quite a big specimen and i would love to get it back to its original glory!

Cheers, Nick

What kind of lighting do you have and what kind of fertilizers (if any) are you dosing?

It could be a potassium deficiency...could also be nitrogen, looking at (what appears) to be the Sword to the left.

Thanks for the reply! I'm currently in the process of getting ready to set up my first "proper" planted tank. The tank has been used in the past just for generic fish keeping so and plants in there where not the main focus of the tank. At the moment it only has some "echinodorus bieheri" this unknown anubias and some moss all of which have been in there for just over a year. The only other inhabitants are a 2 month old colony of RCS which started producing shrimplets around 2 weeks ago. So the plan is to start collecting the bits and pieces i need to start off properly while my colony grows. The the moment there is only 2 20w T8 bulbs which came with the 125L fluval roma and im having trouble sorting out a new lighting unit as the rim for the light fixture cannot be removed from the tank without possibly ruining its strength. Currently no ferts as there is such a small plant biomass and i'm still trying to wrap my head around dosing.

What action would you recommend or should i hope it holds out untill i have organised the new setup?

P.S - your C02 primer thread help me out IMMENSELY so thanks for that.
