Thanks, Mike. I like using petrified wood in combination with Anubias and AS as it provides some nice contrast between the two.Nice looking petrified wood!
Will that leaf sticking out the water dry up?
2-8-14 Update:Any updates? no algae yet? Hows the leaf sticking out of the water doing? Hopefully not dieing from being dry.
I do, too. And thanks!Looks cool, I love nano tanks!
Good luck...
Hmm, that sounds like work. I was kind of hoping for something like I did with my 2.5G wood scape, where I had Willow moss growing emersed with no effort.I think if you want anubias to grow emersed you have to mist it 2x daily, using tank water is best^^
I have the same tank/light from my niece after she tried a betta with it, its a java plantlet holding tank atm in a windowsill, want to try to scape it sometime, seeing yours makes me want to hurry up and make mine pretty ^^
glad to hear no algae!
Thanks!Hey, I'm from Elk Grove too! Nice tank!![]()
I put "think" in the sentence since I have no experience with that.. and I'll retract the original comment.. see this thread those monsters grow out of the tank and never get misted.. So maybe yours simply didn't do well emersed since its just adapting to the new tank, and new leaves that grow out will survive without work.. hopefully ^^Hmm, that sounds like work. Thanks. I forget if the company lists the temperature, but I'd say it is 6500K.That really looks good. Light looks bright. Is it 6500k
Looking nice! Did you have to trim/set the plant pattern or grew naturally?4-26-14:
I've been doing monthly water changes since mid-February and that seems to be enough. I probably have about two dozen RCS, including some babies, swimming around.

They each have their merits:Looking nice! Did you have to trim/set the plant pattern or grew naturally?
I see you have several nano tanks...Which one has been your fave so far? What's the ideal size for trying out a nano tank? Currently I have 36g, 15g, and starting on hopefully a custom 15 long tank.
