I know this question gets asked a lot, but what is every ones opinion on T5 combo lighting. I am currently using 2x 54w Sylvania aquastar tubes(10000k) over my 250 litre tank, with co2 and ferts. I think these tubes have a slight purple hue to them, but I guess this is because of the blue and red spectrum. I am considering changing out one of them for a gro-lux(8500k), but the word is that these also have a purple look. Any help would be great. :confused1:

Purple in back. Blue/white in front for viewing. ???

6500 degrees k looks blue/green to me.. 5500 looks redder. It also depends on colors present in the decor. Red slate and driftwood echo the warmth of red bulbs. Black sand and green plants shout cool colors, complement them with cooler lighting.
