I have some young angelfish and one of them was laying her eggs on a swordleaf. I returned a minute later and all 50 or so eggs were gone with her eating the last few that I saw. Is it normal for them to eat their own eggs? It would've been her first batch of eggs.

If you've got angelfish in there other than the female and her mate, or any other fish, the eggs won't make it anyway. They will be eaten by someone. Or you'll end up with one happy pair and a tank full of other dead fish.
