I rescued this quarter-sized baby angel recently. You can see how something had been eating his fins down to nubs, but they're growing back wonderfully.

I was just wondering if anyone has any idea what type of angel this is? Er, not type but...coming up blank here....what's he going to look like as an adult? He's got a red blush in his cheek, FYI.

As I understand it angels can look entirely different as adults compared to babies or am I confused?

Anyway, any ideas?

As a matter of fact the fish guy mentioned something about the breeder (local person) working with blue angels and waved his hand at some $20 pearl scales that I glanced at and saw no blue on. I barely paid attention though as I was only rescuing him due to his fins and don't really like oddball fish anyway.

The pics are gorgeous though! I especially love the wide finned types.

It'll be pretty funny if he turns out to be a pinoy since I only paid $3.99 for him. :D

Thanks for your input and I'll post more pics after he's....expanded....a bit.

What happened to him? do you have any pics from later on.
I always thought dark angels were striking- but I think the "blushing" ones are usually white, so the red cheeks could be ammonia on the gills- esp. if he was in poor conditions before you got him... . .
