I just got 4 angels a week ago. 3 half dollar size, one dollar size. One of the smaller ones died last night. Today one is being very dominant. Is that a sign they are all the same sex? I was hoping to get a pair out of the 4, or now 3. Then give the other away. Luckly I can probably bring it back and trade it for another at my lfs.

Generally there will be a dominant angelfish. Sexing an angelfish is a tricky process till they are large enough to pair off (8-12 months old).

I'm one of those people who thinks he can tell the sex earlier than that, from body shape, etc. But I also have a 50% change of being right anyways.:icon_roll

I have six. Most of the time ,at least when I am looking, five stay together in a group and one is off by itself. Never figured out why.
