No. I think they are caridea, however I don't know if they are the freshwater type or saltwater type.

Looks like a Purple Zebra Shrimp to me. These shrimp were around back around 2008-2009 or somewhere around there. They were popular for a very short amount of time as they don't breed in freshwater. I had them for a little while as I had bought them from someone when they first showed up who claimed they could be bred in freshwater.
