Our house is set for 78* for the warm months. As a result Lyric's tank has slowly gone up from the 73* to the 78* mark. Chiller and fan is not an option due to location of her tank.

Should her blue pearls be ok at 78*?

You can get a cheap fan that clips to the side of the tank for 10 bucks at wal****. If you are careful you MIGHT be able to get away with it. I lost an entire colony though to Bacterial infections because of the heat. I added a fan, and the shrimp survived.

Am assuming you take the lid off to do this?I was looking at it, and where the tank is located, I may be able to drill a few CPU fans in to some spots with airflow.

Blue pearl in 78 is more than okay, I actually prefer this temp for Neocaridina as they grow faster and breed better. Don't over feed to avoid bacteria infection. If possible, add an air stone or increase surface agitation to increase oxygen level.
