So my Amazon Sword has grown quite large. It's now sending flower stalks to the surface. I con't seem to find advice regarding a concern I have. I understand that the plant wants to send these stalks out of the water in order to produce flowers. Naturally the humidity in my home (New York in Feb) is hardly what these stalks would require in the air above their natural habitat. I'd like to allow it to produce flowers, but will the stalk just dehydrate if I let it emerge?
For now the stalks are out of the water and below the glass tank cover where I imagine the humidity is very high.
Lastly, from what I understand is that the plant will likely produce new off-shoots regardless. This is very cool!
