Do these guys really help that much? I am starting to get hair algae even though I cut the lights out for 5 hours a day. I am going to start excel but I dont know if it will help alot. Ive read that amano eat hair algae, however I have a family of RCS and some are really really small and I dont want amanos eating them or harassing them. Is it worth getting them or is excel and cutting lights until the hair algae is gone a better solution?

i have green hair algae and seems like the amanos don't eat it.
unless they do it when i am not watching.
