well, before you add more fish, keep in mind that the Gouramis and SEA will grow to 3-6" within a year. I worry that full grown Pearls won't behave themselves with three dozen 1.0-1.5" fish scurrying around the tank, so you may want to return them before adding those cardinals. of course, fish behavior will vary by fish and tank.
overstocking a tank is relative to the filtration and maintenance you are willing to do, not so much the number of fish. so if you have a good filter with good media, and are willing to do 50% water changes and filter media rinses weekly, then you should be fine.
