I'm setting up an Eheim 2217 and I'm wondering if I am missing a part.
In the photo in the manual, it looks like a small connecter piece that goes from the end of the outlfow bar to the end of the curved elbow.
My husband used a piece of the tubing to connect them, but I'm still wondering if that part is missing, and if the tubing replacement will be ok.

It's seen in the picture on the second page of the manual download at eheims site below. It's the small piece between #2(suction cup) and #4 (elbow) for the outflow tube

No, that is a piece of the outlet hose that you use to connect the elbow to the spray bar. Just cut a small piece about 1.5" long from the outlet hose to use as a connector.

You will be ok with the piece of tubing, it is the same thing as long as it is holding the pipe.

Yep it's suppose to be a piece of the tubing.

Pretty tacky for great German engineering, huh! :icon_conf

Thank you for all the responses!
I guess it's just one more "little step" they didn't mention in their booklet. ;)
I've read numerous articles on how to go about setting this up. Even found the link to the youtube demonstration. But I'm sure I'll have some more questions along the way. Thanks again.
