Aluminum wire mesh?

I see online a lot of people are using stainless steel mesh to help with scaping. All I can find locally and cheap is aluminum, would this be aquarium safe long term? I don't think aluminum corrodes but not 100% sure. I will be gluing rocks to it using silicone.

Keep aluminum out of your tank. You should probably keep it out of your life in general: nasty stuff, possibly causes alzheimer's.

Might seem inert, but if your tank has slightly acidic water it will start to dissolve and poison your fish. In the wild, aluminum as an industrial pollutant is quite destructive to aquatic ecosystems.
I would not recommend aluminum.
Link to 316 stainless mesh.
