im going to go smaller and cause no one has the large ones and the large ones wont fit under my stand...10lbs will so im shooting for the 10lb size
Ive been going to that fish store for a while so they will swap it out for me with one of the wholesalers at their cost
im only planning on doing that when the Hydro Date starts to expire so i dont have to pay i think one of the guys said 100 bucks for the test for 5 years
cause he was going to have it done on his tank for his kegs.

Here is the link that lists places you can refill your co2 tank for cheaper price. I refill my at United Welding in LA. I pay around $13 for my 5 lbs tank. I think they charge around $33 for hydro test.

yes, hydro test every 5 years. It really depends on the size. Buying it from a store will of course be more expensive than buying it online. Least expensive place I've found it online is www.aquariumplants.com. Steel tanks should be about 2/3 the price of an aluminum, maybe less.

Find the largest welding/medical gases/oxygen place you can find and have them hydro test it for you. I think I payed 15 bucks a couple years ago, so 25 is right for the coasts probably. 100 bucks is just wicked profiteering on their part. If they are willing to exploit you on that then they are likely willing to screw you on some other purchases as well. Run from those folks or confront them or pay up and grab your ankles.

Hey be sure and PM me sometime next weekend if you haven't come accross a tank yet, I still don't know for sure if I'll be making it down to OC for xmas, but if I can make it home for the holidays I can bring the tank with me. I think it's gonna be a 15#
