Alternative Bubble Counter Fluid Suggestions

I was wondering what other liquid can be put in the bubble counter. I heard "Glycerin" is a good alternative & it wont evaporate as quickly as regular tap water. Just getting sick of refilling the counter every 7 or 10 days. Thanks.

Glycerin works. I use mineral oil from Rite-Aid or Walgreens. It's $4 for a huge bottle that I used to fill up 6 bubble counters. And I still have half the bottle left!
I have never added any water in bubble counter in 4+ years??????
It would matter whether you're using DIY or canned CO2. Canned CO2 should be totally dry, and would pick up water as it moved through the bubble counter. DIY CO2 is already saturated with water, so it can't evaporate any additional water.
This is the Bubble Counter Liquid that I use. It's a little pricey though.
