Interesting. I don't mean to sideline your thread but Alternanthera reineckii 'Mini' looks like regular reineckii grown in high lights. Mines stay very low like that. Is it a new species?

Not sure if it is a new species. I got the Rose type from Han and it is growing bright pink under my high light tank. The only problem I am having is, it is growing too tall. The mini will somehow spread? That is what I read on the web. LOL But I like little colorful plants.

I know its something that Tropica carries, but never seen or heard of it in the states.

Man, if you get some you have to promise to spread it around, cause it might be the hobby's best chance atm for having a red carpeting plant

Ya the regular in high light for me grow very pink and tall also.

I would love some "mini" in a nano.

where did your friend get his or her plant
