Some interesting additions.

One question I have is about the lack (so far) of a nutritive substrate like azoo plant grower, ADA aquasoil, etc. (especially since many of these types of substrates are also used to buffer pH). For the most part these types of soils don't seem to be especially easy to get in the US so I am guessing that is the reason they aren't present but since they are not only useful for planted tanks but are highly sought after for shrimp tanks it would seem that they would be doubly appropriate.

Anything that is soil is highly scrutinized and has to be approved by USDA. The hassle and paperwork just doesn't make it feasible. We do carry Fluval plant stratum.
