Just waiting for my power adapter, then going to get a 20lb co2 tank to test it. It's not the prettiest but I hope it at least works.

We had one, then as whole abused it and it was taken away.

Good job on the regulator!
That's not a bad idea.

Thanks. I couldn't have done it without all the help I had from experienced regulator builders here.
Nice setup. :) I have some of those same Parker solenoids. I'm anxious to try them out. Is that a Hoke metering valve?
Looks great

Thank you. I think I did well considering it's my first build. I did learn a lot, it was a nice project.
Very good! Always nice to see a guy get down close to finish and happy with what he has done. As far as learning-- that's good, too. I've not done two in the same way yet so there must still be plenty of room to make new mistakes??
It was so funny you mentioned not doing two in the same way..I spent so many nights at the Swagelok website changing fittings on my favorite list trying to see what combo did what and then I just went for fewest pieces and just went for simple. Kept the on/off there to save me from having to get a fitting there and it worked out for me.
Got that right! Sometimes the easiest way to take a fitting out is to leave it!
Will do, thanks. Will be getting my co2 tank Friday so crossing my fingers.
You haven't done any leak testing with this reg, right? If not, make sure you follow the threads linked in Bettatail's signature. I know you are probably excited to get it hooked up and ready to go.
l'll be reading the thread a few times from now till Friday.
I understand the excitement when building a regulator. Let's hope that the testing goes smoothly. Just an opinion...

I always test the regulator first by using a 1/4" NPT Plug on the output. In doing so, one eliminates all other potential leak spots from the post body. So essentially you are testing only the regulator. It's fine to do it the way you are doing it but understand that there are more areas for potential leakage.

This man speaks the truth, I had those annoying micro-leaks and narrowed it down to the LP gauge. It saved me having to redo the post body.
