I switches from PFS to eco complete and sand blasting sand about a week ago, and since then all my plants are dyeing! All the leaves are turing either yellow or brown. Fish look just fine and every happy. Help!!!! :icon_cry:

I have had that happen to me, let it mature. keep the water clean and maybe some ferts to help your plants dig in.
That sucks. I've changed substrate 3 times now, and this is the first time I've had this happen. lol But I have to say, I LOVE the black sand so much better!
Yeah it sounds like you shocked them a bit too much this time. I put mine in a bowl of tank water and set it in a sunny window before replanting my tank
You stopped answering my questions on the Red Lotus thread. Now you have your answer.
Eco complete = no nutrients
No nutrients = dead plants
Fertilizer + Eco complete = nutrients in substrate and water
nutrients in substrate and water + Eco complete = healthy plants
nutrients in substrate and water + Eco complete+co2+lights = Even healthier plants
Going to add some root tabs in the morning. Will excel or flourish complete help much?
Ovt. Responded to you on the other thread. I didn't get an email saying there was a reply. Sorry.
What your experiencing here could just be the plants getting used to the new substrate, i would assume the same, if not a similar event happened to you when you got the plants, just look for new growth on the plants to tell if their healthy or not, if no new growth appears then your plants are infact dying. good luck!

To add onto this, most if not all plants can come back from being little to nothing, so as long as you see even the slightest hint of new life I would stay confident that things will grow back with proper care.
