I used algaefix for my 10g a week or more ago and I used it once every three days as recommended for a good week and a half and now it's been a week since I used any in the tank, just replaced the carbon filter and I've been doing weekly 25%+30% water changes or more. is it safe to say that there is no more algaefix in my tank? I just bought 12 crs and they should be coming in the mail any day now.. is it safe for me to put them in the tank yet? or should I wait for my next water change or two??

I would do another before putting them in as crs are pretty delicate.

Is your tank condition allowed to do a couple of 50% water changes?

Did you do the large WC after you were done with the AlgaeFix? 25-30% WC's, even over a couple weeks, is not a substitute for a 50% WC after the dosing period.

It is a planted tank So i'm not too sure about a 50% water change..

But a 50% Is going to mean my tank's going to need to cycle again correct?
I've only done 25%-30% changes nothing more.

Not too sure. The only thing in my tank atm is two Pleco's and one silver hatchet fish and a loads of plants.

If I do a 50% WC or several 50%'s will that hurt my plants at all? and will I need to move my fish out in case my nitrates/ ammonia/ ph levels spike??

I've done 80% WC's on heavily stocked tanks before. If the tank is cycled, really cycled, it won't do anything. Bacteria is not in the water.

I did a 50-60% water change, should be getting my CRS on Friday or Saturday! Thanks for your help everyone!
