narrow dwarf leaf foreground has crud on it..not sure how to combat it.

Hair algae.

I'd cut your lighting in half (8x65 watts? Yikes!), get the tank cycled (you shouldn't have any ammonia or nitrite readings), and get your fert dosing worked out, since Flourish comprehensive is just micros.

Also, do you have a drop checker to measure your CO2 levels?

not a drop checker, just an average of 1 to 3 bubbles a second. Its on the milwaukee ph controller.

what do you mean in reference to the fert dosing laura? But in reference to the light, the light doesn't seem to penetrate so far down. Its on an 8 hour times cycle for the lighting as it is.


I'll cut down on lighting.

These were last reading before I did a water change. I had cleaned one cansiter filter prior to the readings.

ok, I adjusted the time period to run from 2p-8p, see how that work..think that is ok?or should I cycle the lights off an hour apart?
