This is for you experts..
I keep getting all sorts of algae growing on my microswords & dwarf hair grass... What's your secret for growing these guys?..

I have a sneaky suspicion you'll say lots of light and CO2.

Well, I got these plants and they came potted and seemed they were grown emersed and the emersed leaves are getting attacked by algae. They are sending a few new leaves and they seem healthy and not covered in algae.. Should I just trim off the old emersed leaves? (Since they'll die anyways)

When you planted these, did you just plant the plug of microsword/DHG, or did you separate them?


IME with Microsword when you just plant the clump, they become algae magnets.

I did take it out of the plug and break them up.. They in smaller clump. Should I break up the smaller clumps even more?

And I have the best algae eaters I can get here locally.. They don't sell SAE or ottos here... or BN.. Don't ask me why.
